The Crosswalk
I had the same situation at work. No one mentioned the Inauguration at all and that was all I really wanted to talk about. But than I shouldn't be surprised, the majority of the people that I worked with voted for the other guy if they voted at all.
But I don't care, I'm not going to let them get me down. This is a great time and I look forward to the future.
Furthermore, for anyone to want President Obama to fail is just ridiculous. Okay, so many don't like his policies, but get over it...the reality is he's our President.
Kudos in pledging your intentions!
I was high off watching it on TV. So, when I got there it was almost a let down but I stayed happy.
I too have pledge to volunteer and eat better.
I made those pledges before Obama's speech. It is my goals (resolutions) to becoming a better person.
One other thing about that day. I sent my children to school thinking they would watch it there. They didn't.
I was upset by that. I would have let them stay home that day had I known.
