You are not alone....Sis. Fear is a part of life. Just like anything else, it has it's place. It's what we decide to do with it when it shows up.

    Very good point, Ms. Lisa...

I love Dr. Dyson, he is a prof at my school and I've heard him speak - have read many of his books.

I get the feeling you are probably one of those wise one's. A term I use to describe people who periodically step back, take a look at their lives. and adjust accordingly on all levels, while not letting the adjustments throw them into a permanent tailspin.

My grandmother always told me to " be a wise one".

Coop - I like that term...I just say that I am "uncomfortably uncomfortable" and trying my damndest to regain some semblance of living life on a level that I know I can live it at...

Fear holds me back every time I manage to step forward. I have so much right now I am striving for but, I allow my fears to creep in and make me take a sit for a day or two which puts me behind and allows doubt to surface. Then, I have to tell myself I am strong and brave and wonderful to move past it.
I really look forward to your blogs (have ever since I first found it). I think your honesty about your choices, feelings, and life is very . . .what's the word. . . uplifting for me. Because you remind me to keep striving.

I went through a similar period of "re-adjustment" just shy of the big 4-0. I quit my job, took a part timer so I could focus on my passion - art. Through many a gray - hair causing struggle, and lots of unexpected twists, now I am an undergrad in the Art Ed program at a local university. Busier than I ever thought possible, I am nontheless happier than I've ever been. When you do what your passion is, happiness will follow.

Sharon - I am glad that you are able to gain something from visiting here...

Harriett - I feel like I'm standing on the side of a jump rope that is turning, waiting on me to jump in...I'm indecisive and pensive...at a moment's notice, I'm going to jump in...I just hope I clear the rope and keep up the pace...

Your words are truly thought-provoking (which is simply amazing to think a thought could still occur in this fog-filled brain of mine...). You have ALL the right stuff, meaning the right words, the right passion, the right talent, honesty, integrity---need I continue?? I KNOW you will find your way!
Suggested song for this scenario: "I'm Comin' Out" by Diana Ross (so could you please get that song on your blog, since I haven't a clue how to do it myself?)

J - Thank you! I will find a way to put the song on here, just for you...
