    Thriller was the business.

Snoop and Ike are dead to me (one of them literally)

I miss Def Poetry Jam and the adorable Mos Def as host.

I don't pay attn to Bey and the Camel anough to notice.

Damn shame about Britney's sis, but she's not the 1st teen mom and she won't be the last.

I never watched "Girlfriends". I don't know why, but I just never got into it.

I've never seen "Clash of The Choirs" before. Patti's name alone should be enough to know they are for real.

D - Thriller? Please...like I said, they don't make 'em like that anymore...

I really miss DPJ...I pulled up a couple of snippets on YouTube yesterday...boy!

#5 - i could not care any less than i possibly care at this moment. same for #8

    #7 - easily Billie Jean
  • MarvalusOne · 2 years ago
What's up DB? I understand that...time to move on...

Yeah, that Billie Jean was/is the business...but Beat It? Thriller? P.Y.T? Man, that whole album was hot!

I didn't watch it but I assume because it's fifteen year olds used to text messaging that voted.

Not sure about Ike but I believe Michael Jackson, though crazy and a crazy ass genius, was demonized by the media.

Billy Jean...although the whole thing was spectacular.

I don't care about Britney or her sister. Love how the mom's parenting book is now on hold though.

A lot of friends and family in town, dinner here tomorrow, brunch at my brothers about a half hour away Christmas, we had dinner at an aunts house this evening, it has been crazy. Hopefully fun, friends and family.

    You have a great holiday.

    Peace.

Was "Human Nature" on that album? That was my favorite....I know that's the lyric--don't know if that's the title.
  • MarvalusOne · 1 year ago
Coop - I have to agree with you about Ike and Michael...Ike=not really; Michael=entirely...

I put Thriller on in the car today as me and my son were driving around doing our last minute shopping...we had an absolute blast! Kick ass music! I felt 12 all over again (damn, now I really feel old)...

Yeah, how ironic that she tried to write a parenting book with one daughter failing at a career and marriage and parenting and now the other daughter a teenager and preggers...how much you want to bet they turn this into some kind of money making thing though?

IW - Human Nature is on Thriller...good stuff...

You both have an excellent holiday...be safe!

10- Reaaly couldnt tell if her squad was that much better. But that shouting routine gets old real fast.
9- Have'nt seen it yet will have to get back to you.
    8-Congrats if they are.
7-Ike's death really had me thinking, no doubt his treatment of Tina was vile but I can not deny his contribtuins to music. But it is all his fault for putting himself in that light. The question I always had but never aked was he like this with all woman or was it just Tina. And do you hold it against himto the grave. People have given him more power than what he is worth. Instead of being a jerk he has now become the boogieman under little black girls beds.
6-Wanna be starting something. I still rock that one.
5-It should be just her burden but it wont be.
4- Def Poetry was the ish. But it was kinda of getting real lame with some of the poets they had performing. I know you are supposed to express your self but lame is lame. Suburban issues is just not moving.
3-Man I hate that show. A lousey version of Living Single. I guess thats why I do not like it.
2-I'll be at work at the mental ward at the hospital. Payment for getting New Years off. But I will be entertained.
    1-I am DONE!!!

    Again Happy Holidays!!

10- I didn’t watch the show (too busy blogging!!), but my daughter did and gave me regular updates. We were both totally shocked that Patti’s choir got the boot. My daughter thought they were clearly the best! Oh well that is showbiz!!

9- Sorry, would not waste the time to watch that!

8- My kids told me about the married rumor, and then on another blog I saw the tattoo. Maybe if she is married she can stop gapping her nasty legs open all the time!

7- What goes around comes around! Ike set that ball rolling long ago…

6- That was music back then; I don’t know what happened though. Favorite cut on that album was “Lady In My Life” second favorite was “Human Nature”

5- Yes, people are always quick to blame the parents, and it’s sad. I was a teen mom, who had a great parent; my choices were just that MY Choices! I pray that Jaime is prepared or at least mentally & spiritually supported.

4- I vaguely remember that show… Loved Mos Def!

3- I don’t watch the show, maybe if Traci Ellis Ross left…

2- Christmas morning breakfast with me and my kids & grandbaby, open gifts, then head over to my mom’s open more gifts, eat dinner & watch movies! Did I mention open gifts?

1-I finished my shopping this morning at 8am!

    Blessings & Enjoy!

    Mike -

    10 - I could tell...it was...
7 - Perfect statement: "People have given him more power than he's worth." That is the truth. He was just human; vile and mean and sick, but human. But he chose a path and had to deal with the results of that path. The part about the media demonizing him; I think not...he demonized himself.
6 - Maaannnn, I been rocking Thriller all weekend...The way it starts with Wanna Be Startin' Something gets me going!
4 - I agree that not all the poets were good; some of them were just straight up wack...but there were always bright spots...those were the ones I miss...
    2 - I bet you will be...whoa!
    1 - Good for you!

    Blessings!

    Regina -

    10 - They were robbed, I tell you...ROBBED!!!!
    8 - tee hee hee...
    7 - I agree, Regina, I agree...see my answer to Mike above...
6 - "Lady In My Life" is some good stuff!
2 - Sounds like me...open gifts here, then head over to my Auntie's to eat, drink, be merry, and open more gifts...I love Christmas!
    1 - Good for you!

    Blessings!

    10) I thought Team Lachey did very well, and so did Patti. Their styles were very different, and Patti took it to the church. I would definitely vote Patti team as having the best technical performance.

9)Snoop Dogg needs to stay home because those kids need some discpline.

8)I think it's weird that they wouldn't admit they were married. I mean how does that keep people out of their personal lives, either you are or you're not. Everything eventually comes to light, and we will one day know.

7)If Ike could speak Un-drunken English then may be he could defend himself, but honestly he sounds incoherent every time he speaks.

6)Human Nature, Lady In My Life

5)She messed up, but it's honorable of her to make the decision to keep the child. She could have went away, had a procedure done, and no one would know. I commend her for being responsible in that manner. She's not the only 16 year old having sex, so I hope others learn from her mishap.

3)I can't wait for Toni to return!

2)I spent Christmas with my husband and two sons.

    1) I finished on Christmas day, had to run to Wal-Green's to pick up last minute gift card.

Mrs. G! Good to see you!

10 - I had to look back and take a look again...and again I'll say, I think Patti's choir was better: better singers, better sounding, better manuevers...maybe it was because they took it to church that they lost, who knows!
    9 - For real...them kids is bad!
8 - To each their own I guess...I think they are carrying it a little too far with this mystery crap...but I'm just me...
7 - Well, he won't be speaking no more...that was probably wrong, huh?
    6 - Nice choices...
5 - You know, I actually think she's going to make a better mom that her messed up ass sister...stepping up and taking responsibility for her actions is commendable...even at 16.
2 - I hope your Christmas was FAB!

    Thanks for dropping by!
