Conversations With Marva: Robert Kelly Unplugged: The Drama Begins

It is going to take actual "proof" such as eyewitness testimony. I don't see that happening because too many years have passed and the victims probably aren't willing to speak up since they are now "legal".

I blame the black community for this because we are so willing to look the other way when it comes to the lives of our own. As long as it's black on black no one gives a shit; not even us.

He's a pedophile. He was when he married Aaliyah and he is til this day.

I agree, D - and even then, because it has been so long, those eyewitnesses can be dismissed if they have had bad dealings with him...it can be made to look like they are testifying out of spite...

He is a pedophile and shoulda had his ass in jail when he married Aaliyah...just because that nigga can sing and make pretty songs, we look the other way? That is some bullshit on a level I don't understand...

The jury may not find him guilty since the girl in the tape denies it was her, so together with the mole may be enough to get him off.
I haven't seen the tape, but if nothing else this scares him to never do this crap again, remember his marriage to Aaliyah (RIP)? He needs to grow up.

    "Have you seen the tape?"

    Did I!!

That thing was the subject of out right debate, inquistion and fist fights at my crib.

The problem I have with this is that there is a large support for R. Kelly amoung black women that is mind blowing. I think black men are pretty sileent about it, its a no, no, but we move on.

But with black women there seem to be reluctance to out right put the noose around his neck.

I have my theories I'll save it for my blog.

Ada - You add another hole in the prosecution's case...

Mike - I have also seen the tape...you bring up an interesting point about this case and Black women...I may have to delve into that deeper myself...

I'm sorry but maybe I'm not like most black women, I don't know...but he's so guilty.

OJ was guilty too. I don't even try to deny that.

I find it sad that he's just as famous if not more so since this whole thing.

I've even heard women say that "He is so sexy, he could pee on me too!"

    Ugh.
  • MarvalusOne · 1 year ago
Cynthia - That sexy thing? Miss me with that too...It is not sexy when a man is attracted to girls and uses them...

fIRST OF ALL, I SAW THE TAPE OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND I WILL SAY IN THE BEGGINIGN OF THE TAPE THE MAN THAT'S IN IT IS NOT R KELLY. HE HAD HIS FACE SO FAR UP IN A GROWN WOMANS BEHIND YOU CAN SEE ITS NOT HIM! THEN THE TAPE SWITCHED TO THE LITTLE GIRL WHO APPEARED TO BE 16 WITH THIS LITTLE SIDE GHETTO PONYTAIL IN HER HAIR DANCING LIKE AN IDIOT IN THE CAMERA. AND SHE WAS TOLD EXACTLY WHAT TO DO BY A MAN'S VOICE BUT I DID NOT SEE R KELLY'S FACE, I DID SEE HIM PEE ON HER AND SHE SHOWED NO EXPRESSION! I THINK SPARKLE IS MAD BECAUSE SHE IS BROKE AND SHE WAS A ONE HIT WONDER AND SHE BLAMES R KELLY FOR THAT. HE IS SUCCESSFUL AND ITS SAD THAT WE CANT BACK EACH OTHER UP AND GIVE HIM CREDIT FOR BEING SUCCESSFUL. I REALLY DONT THINK HE IS ALL THAT SEXY I JUST THINK HE IS VERY TALENTED BUT THAT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE LAW. THIS IS SO A SET-UP TO GET HIS MONEY AND SHE WILL NEVER GET IT!!!!!! BUT I CAN AGREE O.J.'S BEHIND WAS GUILTY THEN HE WROTE A BOOK TALKING ABOUT IF I DID DO IT....NEGRO PLEASE. HE DID DO IT. BUT ROBERT DIDNT.......
