    YES - JANET!

I did this song for my school talent show and KILLED IT! That was in my choreographer and dancing days. Great pick!

Didn't even have to listen to know it was Rhythm Nation, but I did anyway. I remember when I first saw this video. Mesmerized me. . Thanks for starting OSF.

Well, I cheated a bit and aged myself five years just so I could put up Elvis singing Viva Las Vegas, lol. . . .BUT, I did find a great clip of Elvis talking about leaving high school from the year I actually did graduate in 1969!

Andy Janet is still the girl. Are you ready for some Luther to take you into the weekend? Cool, check out MartyBLOGs for my senior year pick.

By the way, where did you get the code for this sign in widget? I'd like to add it to my site.

    Hey Marvalus!

Well I must confess I was a 'few' years ahead of you in HS, but hey. It's all good, right?

Say this is a great choice. I remember when Janet came out with this song and it got my attention right off. The dance moves are cool, but what I really like is that beat. Even though they stole the guitar riff straight out of Sly Stone's "I Wanna Thank You (f'lettin me be m'self again). At least she added her own flavor to the riff, and it worked out for one heck of a funky number.

    Happy OSF!

I had a hard time finding some clean music. I can't believe I use to listen to all that rap. Anyway, I use to know all the moves to this song. My friends and I would do the steps. Don't forget the key on the earring.

Wow, great choice. I couldnt imagine being in school when this song came out. I would have been running through my school's halways with a key on my earring trying to do all the moves.

Did I ever love that album. 1989 was a good year indeed. I tried to leave you a response earlier, but was unable to. Anyhow, happy belated OSF!

This Album was all kinds of awesome. Visually and musically. Janet's always had great "themes" in her music and this was one of the best. Classic!

I've never seen that video though I've heard the song. I like the vid for sure.

You feed doesn't seem to be working.

NOBODY could touch Janet back in the day! She is truly iconic!

Excellent choice for OSF. You mentioned that this was the only video that you could show. Is it because it's your favorite or others you wanted to post weren't available?
  • msladydeborah · 11 months ago
I wish that JJ would get her career back on track! I was a big fan of Janet's music.

But this is still one of my favorite songs by her. This was a hot video when it was released.

She really is a top notch performer.
