Gladys looks so pretty. Not sure about the Flintstone dress.
And the song is of course good.

I almost went with Gladys, too. This one is truly a classic. When my young relatives ask me why I do not particularly care for ______ [whatever current female vocalist they're into] I point to someone like Ms. Knight. Not only can she sing--excuse me--SANG, but she puts so much of herself in every note.

Thanks for the memories and happy OSF!

Wow. Didn't see that one coming Marva. Good choice of probably one of their lesser known songs. I went with a group of their contemporaries. Happy OSF.

BTW are you coming to BWB? I'm actually going to make it this year. I specifically wanted to swap tips with some of my fellow WordPress bloggers.

Wow, bringing back the 70s with the Soul Train Line!

I found out something interesting about Soul Train in the future!!! Soul Train - 3 decades of Soul turns Comedic?

How's that for a teaser??? LOL. Happy OSF!

Gladys is another one that I've got to move over to my MP3 collection. Got the vinyl and some CD, but I've got to do better with digital b/c I love Gladys. Wonderful choice. Happy OSF!

Al Green! Yessssss. Not only did I love him, but my mother did as well. She was in her 40s when he was soaring to stardom. It was the first time I recall she and I wanting to buy the same music. And she'd stopped buying records before that. She and my dad only had big band, jazz music, classical, Aretha, etc.

    Thank you and Happy OSF!

Marva, delete my second comment. I'm on PJazzy's page and thought I was commenting there, but opened wrong window. Ugh. N. :-)

Gladys rocked that performance. Man, this week's theme has me wishing we could get back to the days where soul music had real SOUL and was prominent on the radio. OK I feel old just saying that. LOL

I saw that one and knew it would be a favorite. It does rock.
