The Crosswalk
Happy OSF! :)
I really miss him.
Great choices!
Happy OSF to ya!
I thought Luther owned that song. . .well he still does.
Have a good weekend.
After I saw the theme this week I did some trolling for Beatles remakes (yeah, I was bein' lazy - not too hard to find, lol!)
Now what I want to know is: Just how many remakes of Helter Skelter are there?
But, no one can do it like Luther. When I hear. "Long Ago"... I still get chills, and my mood is transformed. Love that song by Luther.
Well you definitely selected one of the best examples around, no doubt. The Carpenters were a good group, and Karen Carpenter had an absolutely beautiful voice as your video shows, but man when Luther got hold to that song...? And it's not just his voice really is quite strong as well, but it's the arrangement too.
Great pic!
As they say... It's not who does it first but who does it best.
I invite your blog readers to a reminder that we are never alone through the musical scripture of Al Green on my Sunday Inspirations meme entry this week.
