The Crosswalk
Gotta a good one for you at SjP's! Hope you get a chance to stop by.
Etta should be glad that her career is being highlighted while she is still alive! There are legends that are not appreciated until they are long gone. She definitely worked this tune.
I picked BB too. He is a true blues man and a legend.
Happy OSF to you!
Nice pick with Etta James, but I'm going to need her to stop acting like she has turrets syndrome and quit trying to beat people down for singing her songs. LOL
Happy OSF!
My best friend and I use to play The Thrill Is Gone in 5th grade. We thought we were so ahead of every body in our musical taste...Now that I think about it we were. What 10 year old listens to BB King, we did that's who...
Happy OSF lovely.
You sho' 'nuff hit it on the head with Sister Etta James (real name Jamesetta Hawkins). This sister is bad, bad, BAD when it comes to layin' down the blues. Etta is the real deal for real. Her longtime guitar player Bobby Murray is a good friend of mine.
And BB King? Nothing more needs be said.
If the theme this week is the 'blues', then your blog readers should settle for nothing less than Mo' Better Blues!
