I see you were ready for this one. I never listened to Alanis Morissette before, the song/video was interesting, I have to listen to it again.

Mary is on my favorite list but, I didn't pick her. I love how she is open about her life and flaws.

That's probably the last Kelis song I liked.

LOL, I just watched the "Wanna Be Down" last week (me, & my kids were discussing YoYo after watching Ms. Rap Supreme, and I had to go there on them!!). I hate Brandy! But YoYo, Lyte & Queen...WHAT?? they killed that remix!!!! That was definitely my jam (Brandy was just background noise to me!!!)
I liked Mariah back in the day, before she became... anyway!
I never liked Kelis.
mary ws, is, and will always be the Queen of Hip Hop! I ran the 411 & My Life Cd in the ground!
And my favorite, Angry, Canadian singer! I love Alanis (who is on my blog player & my MP3!)!

Loved that Mariah song; much better than "Hero" IMO. Love Alanis as well. Watched an interview she did recently, she's damn cool.

That song is the song that made me like Brandy. That was the jam back then (still is). My favorit MC song is Vision of Love. You have some great pick going on.

Brandy was like number 2 on my list. Her VOICE...it just melts me. I just love her riffs and ad-libs...B won just because she has more of a package-

Mary is a given.

I never really thought Brandy was that great of a singer but I still enjoyed her music.

And yea I mourn the "Vision of Love" Mariah. She has NOT taken care of her voice.

So the Alanis song is my favorite, I love Alanis anyway, but when uninvited came out it helped me through some things. That songs just hits it on the nail.

My Life was one of Mary's best album. Probably the darkest, and I like dark.

I thought about Mariah, but she's been so flaky lately. I think she is having a pre-midlife, post-quaterlife crisis.
