    I was thinking that we had to choose songs from when the artist was a child singer. :-) Having said that, Stephanie Mills doesn't get the credit she deserves. I was glad to read on Stepanie's Wikipedia page that she has her own record label.


    Yeah, Chris Brown is way too new for OSF.

    The first time I saw Stephanie Mills was in the Wiz and I remember thinking she was going to hit big with that big voice.


    I went down Memory Lane as usual and posted a few Child singers from TV and the Movies of Yesteryear

    Yeah, I think you stretch the theme's meaning, but it's all good because I agree with you. If you would have posted MJ, I would have pulled my hair out.


    Stephanie Mills and Regina King were my favorite singers when I was young, too. I use to play her songs on the juke box in the restaurant near our house. She had so many hits in the 80's and then she disappeared....

    Great pick. I didnt know that Stephanie Mills was working it out from such a young age. I tried to avoid all the ppl you mentioned as well.


    So glad you didn't go with Chris Brown. I was subjected to listening to Wendy Williams yap on and on about it yesterday.

    Good choice. After missing last week's Old School Fridays I'm back and like you I tried not to go with an obvious choice for child singer.

    Stephanie Mills has the most unique voice for such a small frame....I had her on my 8 track...DANG MY ASS IS OLD...LOL

    Stephanie Mills is at the top of my favorite female singers list. Her voice is awesome. I also thought of Tevin & thought... to easy. LOL
