Conversations With Marva: Old School Friday: A Stevie Wonder Tribute!

Master Blaster and You and I - two opposite ends of Stevie's creative spectrum. One a staple at wedding ceremonies and the other at wedding receptions. Stevie's work represents the best in social commentary as well as touching the heart of what is positive in our relationships.

    Hey there!

I must say that "Ribbon In The Sky" is my jaaaaaaaaaaam of a lifetime!

I love Stevie....there will never be any musical genius who is in his league...not even that white-girl lovin' Quincy Jones. *LOL* I ain't mad at Q though.....he has blessed us with his musical gifts for decades.

    Peace, blessings and DUNAMIS!
    Lisa

    HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

A legend he is, that is for sure. I started looking through the songs and got sidetracked for quite some time.

Every time I hear "You and I" I think about Thelma marrying Keith on Good Times - I just can't help it. Then Keith trips over JJ and injuries his knee and everybody has to stay in the projects.

Love Stevie. It was difficult for me to choose which of his songs to showcase.

I have been in love with Stevie forever. You have shown his musical range with your choices. Happy OSF.

Has Stevei ever made a wack track?

Seriously this was too easy, the OSF should of been to find a weak Stevie wonder joint.

    Now thats a challenge!!!

I agree with Mike. I would have lost trying to find a weak Wonder song.
