This issue really seems to be troubling you. I'm sorry to hear that. It is a life wasted and Michael Vick is a grown ass man and the justice system isn't just. We've been here for 400 years Marvelous and if anyone besides Native Americans should know how the game is played, it's us. Some of us act as if we are brand new in this country.

Michael Vick, like so many others has fallen for the okey doke as my uncle used to say. Whether is T.I., Kobe, Michael V. or Barry Bonds. We should all know better and if we get locked up, then that's the price. I don't mean to sound heartless girl, but it's time for black folk to wake the hell up.

America doesn't give a damn about our lives. This shit will NEVER be fair and we have got to start taking responsibility for our stuff or this scenario will continue to be played over and over again.

Keep your head up girl and know that you can make a difference with your son.

I don't know why this is sitting so heavy on my heart...I'm not even a really big fan of his...sure I watched the games and was excited by some of the plays he made, but that was pretty much the extent...

I know he fell for the okey-doke...dumb ass...I guess because I have a son and I try so hard to make sure that he knows the difference between right and wrong and being a leader instead of a follower, maybe that's why this is so hard for me to swallow...

I honestly don't know why...but I do know that I hate to see a black man persecuted because he made a mistake. Especially (even if for legal purposes) he owned up to mistake and said, OK, I accept responsibility and I will do what I need to do to atone...maybe it's because I expect people to forgive (because that's what Jesus wants us/expects us/tells us to do) but everyone is not like me and everyone doesn't know Jesus and doesn't have a forgiving heart.

OK, I've said enough...I will just continue to try to raise my son not to fall into the dumb ass trap that this Black man did...

Yeah I know Vick did wron but to me the justice system seems to be doing the greater evil. There are child molestors and drug dealers who got less time.
It aint about black folks watching there backs if they can do it to him they will find a way to do it to you.

a lot of times i feel really bad for mike. because no man deserves this type of punishment for some f_ckin' dog when they are white folks out there killin' innocent animals for sport. it's all sport d_mnit! i am just as much a fan of god's creatures as PETA, but d_mn, this is ridiculous. at the same time i am mad at mike and i want to ask that brotha, "what were you thinkin' man!?". "you know how white folks are about their f_ckin' lassie's and kujo's!".

our justice system is such a f_ckin' joke and i believe they are just trying to make a mockery out of black folks so as to say "we got another one of ya'll high-profile niggers!"...i know that's what the f_ck they are saying as they are out there picketing like a bunch of a__holes of perfection!

you got these coked out, drunken a__ white b_tches running down folks down folks in the street and all they do is go to court, cry a little bit, and all they gotta do is pick up trash for a few hours for few saturday in a row. f_ck that sh_t! black people are tired of seeing our own get punished over some petty bullsh_t like some godd_mn dogs!

i really need to stop. this got me going! i used far too many four letter words in this post and i apologize to anyone whom i have offended, but i had to get it off of my chest. i can only pray for mike on this one, but i wish there was more i could do for the brotha.

Marcus - I was mad, sad, angry, disappointed...almost every emotion you could think of, I was...you feel how I feel about the little white girls who go to jail for 35 minutes and cry and then go home to their fucked up lives...I am not going to go on because I'll just go to the left again...but you know what I mean...

Mike Vick is a young black celebrity and although I do think he did wrong with the dogs. I should say the "mainstream media" knows which stories will "sell" and one of the stories the "mainstream press" just love is the dangerous young black male stereotype. I notice that mainstream American society seems to have a penchant to go hard against young black celebrities. I am kind of wondering why the mainstream black American media haven't been vocal about this? I also notice people like Lindsay Lohan, Britney Spears, Paris Hilton, and various other young white female celebs break the law and they are celebrated. I think its total double standards.

You are so right, Orville...the justice system is not fair and media is so against black folks it is crazy...when these young white women can go to jail for no longer for 90 minutes for endangering human lives and MV has to go to jail for years for dogfighting? Something ain't right...

I do agree he was wrong and he should be punished...but his crime in comparison to drunk and drug induced driving? I think there is a serious problem? I think there is no noise because Black folks don't have a leg to stand on...it's a crime; what they gon' do? It's awful, just awful...
