my only beef is that it wasn't SOLELY about idi amin. i think the other little guy took time away from forest.

    I see your point, JJ...

It was amazing. I didn't care for the good Dr. at all. However, Amin's interaction with him revealed quite a few sides of Amin's nature; how he could switch from paternalism and affection to destructiveness in the blink of an eye.

There are no words for Forrest and Kerry Washington was lovely as always. I wish there'd been more development for her character.

Dr. Garrigan's character was very much opportunistic...I think I attribute that to his youth...

Forrest was just AMAZING! And Kerry Washington is always good...she lights up a screen...and I agree with you, there is always room for development of her characters...

It's on my list, I heard it was gory at times. Thanks for the review, now I really can't wait to see it.

It is a bit much at times...there were moments when I just had to turn away or close my eyes...but it was an excellent movie...

Yes! Forrest at his best!! I had to turn away at time myself but all in all it was an excellent film. Although I liked it so much I can't say that I could watch it again. Once was all I needed, pretty much like Hotel Rawanda~

I thought the movie was awesome and have been recommending it to everyone since it started showing on HBO. I so rarely get to movies in a timely fashion these days.

I thoroughly enjoyed this movie although I had to turn my head at the gore. Forest always brings it and IMHO this was his best movie.
  • MarvalusOne · 1 year ago
I agree Lisa! Once was definitely enough...

Cooper - The movie house just doesn't hold the same appeal to me as it used to...maybe it's the $10 ticket price?

    AJ - I agree...Forrest's best movie indeed...truly amazing!
