    I love Purple Rain but come to think of it the acting is pretty bad.

    I've seen "Uptown Saturday Night / Let’s Do It Again", but not the first film I'll have to check it out.

    I have never watched Claudine or Let's Do it Again. I have started to add older movies to my movie collection. So, I should look into these two.

    @cooper - I watched Purple Rain last night and thought, "This acting is awful!" But damn the music is good, and you just can't resist watching it...

    @Sharon - Claudine is a must see...good stuff. If you need a laugh, add Let's Do It Again to your collection...it is hysterical!

    I love all those films. You know, Sidney and Bill were a great team. Claudine is classic and it's my jam! I love that film to pieces. Purple Rain is def about great music and bad acting. Why does Clarence always have to play the crazy man though?

    @Danielle - I think Sidney and Bill were awesome together...the music in Claudine was extraordinary! Pure goodness...and Purple Rain...I think I've seen that film 1000 times and it just moves me...I still cry at the end (the Purple Rain song)...

    I friggin' keep missin' 'Claudine' whenever it airs on TVOne, but I also seem to catch 'Let's Do It Again'. 'Let's Do It Again' is one of my favorite ol' school flicks. Cosby and Portier are a trip when they are hustlin' Kansas City Mack and Biggie Smalls...LOL! I still can't get with 'Purple Rain'...I guess it is one of those movies I will never be able to like no matter how many times I see it.

    Wow--I am amazed that there are grown folks that haven't seen Let's Do It Again and Claudine. It's all good, tho-hopefully you have made some see the light :-)

    Yes indeed TV One has been doing it! I have several of them lined up to record. Every time PR comes on, I just have to watch. It's just one of hose movies.

    @IW - I need to dig in your archives because I'm sure that you have a list of movies that us folx should have watched or risk getting our cards revoked. I want to make sure I've seen them all! Someone shocked me the other day by saying they've never watched Color Purple all the way through. WTF?
