I'm happy that I found a place where so many people of color like you and I aren't afraid to stand up for issues and be apart of something global. Great post.

Evening GFs! Hope all is well with you...In reading all the Darfur posts today, makes you realized just how blessed we are! Before researching and reading the great references provided by Modern Musings - I was about to write a post on how stupid the debate was over the Olympic Opening Ceremonies and whether Bush should participate. Then I learned about China's part in what's happening in Darfur. I'm certainly re-thinking my position on that one! Man's inhumanity to man without consequences continues to amaze and sadden me. Anyway - my eyes have certainly been opened, too MMO! Ya'll have a good one! Oh yeah - did you catch Obama and Hilary on CNN tonight...very interesting but I must admit I went to sleep on the Queen ! Good evening to you, SjP! I missed Obama and Clinton on CNN...however I just finished reading an article where she stated that her last attendance at church is irrelevant...what?! Typical "what's good for the goose isn't good for the gander" mess...

Blessings to you and yours...have a good night!

On my side of the plantation they are showing it again...it's 8P here - so you might be able to see it. I don't think the Queen wants to talk about her religious affiliations since there's info out there that she regularly prayes with a group known for their Nazi ties and glorification of Hitler. "Calm down SjP"... Have a good one!

It was late here...I went to bed so I didnt' see the re-run of the show...but I caught snippets this morning on CNN...and plan to watch it when they re-run it today...

Yeah, I know about her "religious affiliations"...I'm thinking that's why she played the Jeremiah Wright thing close to the vest...

Thank you for adding your might voice to the roar.

    Genocide no more!

You have harnessed your power potential by furthering education on the genocidal depopulation scheme in Darfur. The precedence must be set in stone, senseless murder is not tolerable at any scale.

I truly appreciate your including the action items. It has been proven in the past that these petitions do make a great deal of difference. If we do not use our voice. We will not be heard.

We were heard throughout the blogosphere during this campaign and I am so grateful to the hard work, effort and spirit of all participants. I am still collecting links from inspired readers who were compelled to add their voices.

    In light and love

That was a good post. I enjoyed it. I have to come back later and follow all the links in your post. (I'm in the middle of trying to get kids together.) Anyhoo, I am so glad that you brought this information to all of us. A friend of mine always tells me that we have to follow what is going on in Africa to help strengthen ourselves (black folk) in America.

Danielle - I've never been so enlightened in my blogging life...thank you for inviting me and others to participate...

I am in the process of filling out my own petitions...can't preach to the choir if you are not doing it yourself!

    Blessings to you!

Sharon - Thanks...it was so worthwhile and so full of learning that I was just simply shocked at the things that I discovered...

And I believe that your friend is right...
