MMMMMnnnn, I am the same way... feelin' blue or melancholy, put on some jazz... I have been played too many times to admit. Yes, you are right, it is about coming into your full, beautiful state of womanhood, and, that can happen even later than 30... What is so frustrating about being played is that while the signs are there, the man is usually so gifted at his game that he can make you feel silly for thinking such things, and then, he is often the kind of man that can really make the world shake with his lovin'; this is the main reason that so many women hang on to those men... Now me, I am like, when I 'get' it, I am gone; doesn't matter how much they try to change my mind, I am outta here, and, you just move on with your bad self... I write a lot about such things and have the edge of experience from having been the fool too many times, but, know what? That also brought me into full womanhood, and, while I am not safe from the player, I now know when I have met one, and, won't be played again... Great post and thought provoking content... love this site! peace and blessings...

Ms. Lynda...thanks for your comment...being a woman is hard, but it has its rewards too...What is unique and beautiful about us is that God gave us intuition, a sixth sense...we need to rely on our sense of "something ain't quite right" when we meet these brothers...I, however, have not given up...and I hope you haven't either (there are still some beautiful, honest men out there!)...

Thanks for visiting! Come back soon!

You have a wonderful site here. It's lovely and positive. I'm 39 years old and I feel as if I am FINALLY coming to appreciate womanhood in all it's beauty and complexity. That being said, we have to respect and trust ourselves more as women. Many of us don't like ourselves very much and put the blinders on when men say something we want to hear. At some point in our lives, we've all been guilty of accepting crappy treatment because we are afraid to be alone, want love and acceptance (who doesn't?)and aren't really comfortable with our own company.

As I've gotten older, I've come to love me more and enjoy my company more than anyone else's and because I honor myself, I trust my instincts. If something stinks, it's probably rotten and not good for us. I'm sorry to hear that so may of us are going throught this kind of drama, but sometimes you have to learn things the hard way in order to truly understand the lesson God is trying to teach you. Let's pray for that sister and pray for all of us to continue to have faith and love ourselves just a little more.

    Peace!

You are oh-so-right, Danielle...that's what I love about being a full-fledged Woman...appreciating my own company and realizing that being alone does not mean that I am lonely...

I am so glad that you like the blog...welcome and come back anytime!
