The Crosswalk
I'll say that your review of the experience felt like I was right there. That actually comes from me seeing her in concert. You describe it so well.
I never understand why people believe just because its hot its ok to show skin, even those with the extra skin to show.
Glad you had a great time. I know it was worth the long wait.
I saw her about 5 years ago at a very small club in San Fran. We were about to go in, and a van pulled up and I saw a woman with red hair--it took me almost a full minute to realize it was her. We laughed and talked with her for a few minutes--she is as sweet as her image seems to be :-)
@cooper - A night in a million, indeed...it was awesome!
@Urban Thought - I am glad I went by myself too...I'm not afraid (tee hee hee)...and I felt like it was meant for me to experience it by myself...something happened to me there, I can't put it into words...
@sdg1844 - D - It was fabulous! I am still on a high from it...
And yes, the entire LFS album is banging. And I'm not just saying that because I'm a certified Bilal stan either.
I'm not surprised that you couldn't get anyone to go. People just don't go to concerts - which is something I'll never understand. We polled our reader over at SB and they said they go to two a year. I can do 2 in one weekend. But you know these are tough times and a lot of folks like music but don't LOVE it.
Glad you had a great time.
Congratulations!! I'm elated that you enjoyed Jill Scott's concert.
Ms. Scott's magnificent voice is truly "Golden."
Manchild
@Vivrant Thang - Oh Ms. Viv...it was absolutely magnificent! I have been raving about it ever since...and probably will continue to do so!
