Conversations With Marva: “Enough!”

  • cooper · 1 year ago
    C-Span was such a relief wasn't it.

Though I know the convention is theater I was always a little surprised by it's staged drama. I was 18 last time and maybe not watching the convention as closely. I was finally glad to have his speech. It was very good. But I want the convention to all be over and the next two months to begin, the debates, the campaigning. I just wish that we had a system where facts always prevailed.

I don't think I've ever heard, read, or seen so much controversy in an election.

Regarding "the office,” it’s truly sad that folk still think like this.

When you have a minute, come by to share your view on a disturbing video I found on YouTube.

Coop - C-SPAN was absolutely awesome! I can't believe it took me this long to finally see the light...I wish the same thing about the facts; our minds get so clouded by the bullshit, it is unreal...

Mike - Me either...it should be very interesting...

B - I don't think so either. I like to think that people who think like the "office" person are in the minority, but they still remain a threat to us as a whole, no matter how few they are...

    I'll be right there!

Love C-Span and wouldn't have watched the convention without it. Biden was a good choice. He helps O neutralize the "lack of experience" "lack of foreign policy" meme. It is null and void esp. now that McCain has Miss Alaska on board. This should be quite interesting.

D - I am absolutely hooked on C-SPAN now! I happen to think that Obama/Biden are the ones! Of course, I am biased, but looking at the two of them together, they fit, you know? It is almost musical...

I thought I was going to miss it live so I dvr-ed it. But, as luck would have it all the stars and the moon lined up just right for me to watch it live. What a great and moving night. Still get the chills just thinking about it.

There were so many great lines in his speech. I was so glad to hear the "Southside of Chi-town" come out. I knew he had it in him. So the "cave" line had me hollering and the "that's a debate I'm willing to have" had me jump right out the chair. That line, Chi-town translation: "Feeling froggie? JUMP!"

You right about C-Span - now they are truly FAIR and BALANCED. And you already know how I feel about Palin. Yes, the next 2 months are going to be something else.
