    LOL!!!! I always said we were a lot alike! I was in the car with my mom Friday and we were somewhere waiting for my sister, she turned and said what are you reading (mind you there was no book in my hand), I said nothing. She laughed and said Regina what book is in your bag today! (I did have a book in there but I would not give her the satisfaction of pulling it out) My fingers itched for 15 minutes till my sister showed up!!!!!
    Anyway,

    This was a hard list to whittle down, I agree!

    I have heard Dyson speak but never read anything that he wrote, I my have to do some checking into that.

    I am reading 3 books right now! One is in the car, one by my bed, and one in my carry all bag! Now that I'm at home, though...I need to settle it down!

    Wow Marva...I saw my husband's name, Manchild, in this list and was blown away! Roderick O. Solomon as one of your favorites with Zora Neale Hurston, James Baldwin, Nikki Giovanni, Toni Morrison, C.S. Lewis, Alice Walker...OMG!!! I can say as his wife, I am honored for him, and he is flabbergasted...and honored, of course...thank you so much for blessing him with your encouragement and thumbs up!

    I love the list. I did laugh at Laura Ingalls Wilder but I've never read her, and they say ignorance often breeds laughter.

    Oh I loved Laura Ingalls...I recall reading and rereading those books so much...my copies were so worn out!
